Covid-19 latest Information & service updates

How are Fun Flippers Planning to operate is a covid-19 safe environment?

We will create changeover breaks in between lessons to allow students to change socially distanced.
& have also introduced a one-way system with a covid officer who will show families the entry/exit to the pool.

Social distancing must be observed on poolside, in observation areas and throughout change-over of lessons.

We ask that children attend lessons ‘pool ready’ with their swimwear already on. After the lesson, we request that parents do not congregate on poolside and that you exit as quickly as possible. We also ask that all children shower at home.

With the arrival of coronavirus following the recent PWTAG ADVICE (POOL WATER TREATMENT ADVISORY GROUP ADVICE)

in line with our normal operating procedures, we are continuing to keep everyone safe. there will be continued regular testing to ensure pool water quality is kept to the highest level.

We are adhering to government guidance with regular updates to how we operate.

We request that just one parent attends site where possible & that parents remain in their cars through-out the lesson duration. Where possible, teachers will teach from poolside. Our risk assessment has determined that it is safer and more productive for a teacher to be in the water for our beginner classes.

In-water teachers will teach from a ‘side on’ stance so they are not directly facing the children. Alternatively, woggles will be used to maintain social distancing.

Lessons will be structured so activities can be completed whilst social distancing is maintained.
Staff will wear face shield at all times when teaching in the water with little ones.
